Easington Receiving Terminal

Client: GASSCO

Date: October 2012

Work involved: For this project we supplied Gassco with our innovative positive pressure Habitat. The use of the habitat on site allowed for welding work to take place at three locations on the site without the need for total shutdown.

Tantawan Explorer FPSO

Client: CTS/Chevron

Date: January 2012 - February 2012 

Work involved: The Tantawan Explorer is a huge FPSO based in the Gulf of Thailand. It handles up to 50,000 bpd of oil and 150 MMSCFD of gas compressed to a pressure of 1850 psi. Carrying out any ‘hot work' needed to be handled safely and quickly. This is where our positive pressure habitat excels. We supplied our Habitat unit and also provided 2 Habitat Technicians for a supervisory role over the Personnel who worked with the Habitats. We were able to ensure the deck repair work was carried out with minimal downtime and above all in the safest environment.

Petrotrin Refinery

Client: TOSL

Date: June 2010 – March 2011

Work involved: TOSL are one of the leading suppliers of services and products to  a number of industry sectors in Trinidad and Tobago and the wider Caribbean region. For this project we supplied TOSL with our innovative positive pressure Habitats. In total 15 Habitats were used over a 10 month period. We also supplied 2 Habitat Technicians in a supervisory role over the TOSL Personnel who were working with the Habitats.

YME Offshore Platform

Client: StS Engineering

Date: July 2011 - December 2011

Work involved: Supply NDT Technicians to test extensive amounts of pipework on the YME Offshore platform

NLI Odda

Client: NLI Odda AS

Date: June 2011-Present 

Work involved: This project involved carrying out NDT Inspection on subsea components e.g. termination heads, hydraulic connectors and also stainless/super duplex pipework and flanges. NDT disciplines used were Dye penetrant inspection (DPI), magnetic particle inspection (MPI), ultrasonic testing (UT), positive material identification (PMI) and radiography.  NDT inspection is carried out several times during the manufacturing process of each component to ascertain material integrity before undergoing the next process of welding/machining.  Final NDT inspection is carried out on the finished product.

Skarv FPSO

Client: Aker Solutions/BP Norge

Date: March 2011 - August 2011

Work involved: This project involved StS supplying a range of skilled Riggers, Rope Access Technicians and Rigger Foreman to Aker Solutions for the Commissioning of the Skarv FPSO (floating production, storage and offloading). The Skarv FPSO, developed and engineered by Aker Solutions for BP Norge, is the most advanced and largest FPSO deployed in the Norwegian Sea.

Gjøa

Client: Aker Solutions

Date: October 2009 - June 2010

Work involved: This project involved the supply of skilled Riggers to Aker Solutions to assist in the construction and assembly of the platform deck on Gjøa Oil Platform. This included the hook-up of the topside, and mating of the topside and hull. The platform was constructed at Aker Solutions Stord.

Spitsbergen and Barents

Client: Aker Kværner

Date: October 2007 - June 2009

Work involved: For this project we supplied Aker with skilled Riggers for the building of the first Aker H-6e platforms Aker Spitsbergen and Aker Barents, two of the world's largest, most advanced and most robust semisubmersible drilling rigs. They are specially designed to meet high environmental standards and can operate in ultra deep waters, harsh environments, extreme temperatures and at long distances from supply infrastructure

Willowbrook Water Tower

Client: M J Quinn / W.I.G 

Date: July 2012

Work Involved: A Rope Access Team completed the fitting of net that covered the external of the water tower in preparation of further work.

Helgelandsbrua

Client: StS Gruppen

Date: July 2010 - August 2010 

Work Involved: Inspection and remedial repairs on the suspension cables using Rope Access techniques.

Middlesbrough Transporter Bridge

Client: Middlesbrough Council

Date: May 2008 - June 2008 

Work Involved: Remedial repairs on the Transporter Bridge, supplying Rope Access Technicians. The Transporter Bridge is the furthest downstream bridge across the River Tees, England. It connects Middlesbrough, on the south bank, to Port Clarence, on the north bank. The Transporter carries vehicles across the River Tees suspended on a 'gondala' in 90 seconds.

 

Telecommunication masts at RAF Akrotiri

Client: Ministry of Defence/VT Communications

Date: April 2009 – August 2009

Work involved: This project required the provision of a range of Rope Access Technicians for painting telecommunication masts in RAF Akrotiri in Cyprus. A large number of man hours were logged during this period enabling some of the Rope Access Technicians to move to the next Level in Rope Access.

Bredford Dolphin, Songa Delta and Songa Trym

Client: Coast Centre Base AS (CCB)

Date: July 2012 - October 2012

Work Involved: Preparation work of scaffolding, rigging services and rope access teams were all utilised on this project to assist in the re-commissioning of 3 large semi-submersible drilling units

Burbo Bank Offshore

Client: Siemens

Date: September 2007 - December 2007

Work Involved: The Burbo Bank Offshore Wind Farm is situated on the Burbo Flats in Liverpool Bay at the entrance to the River Mersey. It is comprised of 25 efficient wind turbines. StS were commissioned to supply a team of technicians to work alongside Siemens personnel to carry out 100 hour services and maintain the gear boxes within the 3.6MW offshore wind turbines. This was part of Dong Energy Ltd's Operation Maintenance Programme.
